Cheekwood Studios is looking to move to a digital system this school year. Cheekwood is the photography studio that takes our school photos each year. Unless families opt out, they will receive an email from Cheekwood through ImageQuix that will provide the opportunity to purchase school photos. The opt-out forms will be shared from school buildings. Families can also opt out through this link: https://form.jotform.com/241834917151053.

announcements in the CGPS app! With the addition of
Rooms, our district app keeps getting better. Parents/
guardians check your email/texts with instructions to sign up and
access new features.

All CGPS afterschool activities are canceled today 5/8/24 because of the threat for severe weather in our area. Please make sure you stay updated on the latest weather conditions and have a severe weather plan in place for your family. We appreciate your time. Have a safe rest of your day.

The CHS Girls Swimming and Diving Team has won the Missouri State Class 1 Championship! Congratulations, Tigers! #WeareCT
There will be no school Thursday, February 15th for Family/Teacher Conferences. Students are also out of school on Friday, February 16th for a Staff Professional Development Day and Monday, February 19th for President's Day.
Spectrum has fixed the issues with our WiFi, internet, and phone connections. Thank you for your patience.
Due to a Spectrum fiber outage, many of our schools are currently experiencing disruption of service to phones, internet, email, and Wi-Fi. Spectrum does not have an estimated time of repair at this time. The phone lines in the main offices at schools are working, but please be patient as you call.
If you cannot get through to the main office at your student’s school and need to relay a message, you can call the Central Administrative Office (CAO) at 335-1867.

There will be no school Monday, January 22, 2024 due to the freezing rain and potential for unsafe road conditions.
REMINDER: There will be no school on Monday, January 15, 2024 for MLK Day and on Tuesday, January 16 for a Professional Development Day. Students are back on Wednesday, January 17.
We want to remind families that students return to class on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. We hope everyone has had a wonderful winter break.
Reminder: Cape Girardeau Public Schools will be closed November 22nd, 23rd, and 24th for Thanksgiving Break. Students will return on Monday, November 27th.

We were honored to have the opportunity to recognize our Terrific Tigers from each school. These students are exemplifying excellence and good character on a regular basis. Congratulations, Tigers! Keep shining!
The Cape Central Academy Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) program was also featured during the meeting with Central Academy Zech Payne and JAG Coordinator Ursulla Wadley making comments. CA student Taylor Banks read her award-winning essay as she shared obstacles she has had to overcome throughout her life, and goals she hopes to achieve through the support of JAG. Her determination is inspiring! Taylor, we are so proud of you and can’t wait to see what’s ahead in your future!
